Hellenic Pagan Theology with Mavican
A Course in Methods and Applications
Wednesday, June 7 @ 7pm

The Hellenic Pagan and Reconstructionist Revival has exploded into the Pagan community almost without warning. Local gathering groups soon turned into web groups, and local web groups into non-profit organizations. It didn't take long for overseas Hellenes to find their way to their American counterparts. With these many different groups and ideologies came different methodologies and ways of practicing. This 4-week course was designed to teach of the different theologies of Hellenic Paganism and Reconstructionism, using myth as foundation, ways of practice, and criticisms of the religion and its theologies. This 4-week course will cover the theologies of the Greek Religion, the use of myths as foundations, modern day methodologies and current criticism. Some required sources for this course are Sources for the Study of the Greek Religion by Stambaugh and Rice, Theogony, and Works and Days by Hesiod, The Homeric Hymns by Homer and Gods of the Greeks by K. Kerenyi. Other handouts will be given. Each workshop is $15 per person.
Preregistration and prepayment of your first class fees is a must.
